Located across from the historic Mariachi Plaza, the Santa Cecilia Apartments contains 80 affordable family housing units above 4,000 square feet of ground-level commercial space. Adjacent to the Metro Gold Line, this mixed-use development brings one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments to a currently vacant lot owned and occupied by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Its façade features different materials and colors including brick alluding to the historic Boyle Hotel, located across the street from the site. The main entrance is enhanced by two panels featuring artwork of Mariachi players after whom the nearby plaza is named.
