An adaptive reuse of a 60,000 square foot abandoned hospital owned by the VA, ND Sepulveda II updates former dilapidated and vacant medical facilities into 76 permanent housing units and support facilities for homeless veterans. A complete interior remodel was done and updates provided to make the building livable to modern standards. Studio units are grouped around an undulating corridor designed as a pedestrian street with built in seating to promote tenant interaction. In addition, it has achieved LEED Gold status.
